“ Open late, always fresh, always friendly. Happy to have this place around, you cannot beat their prices. You can tell the food is made with care. The guys who work here clearly care about what they are doing, I mean with prices so low and such amazing portion sizes, not to mention they don't even ask for a tip online- that's the only explanation I have. The menu is not too complicated, though diverse, and they do a great job with just about everything. No, it's not a fancy restaurant, dining in can be a bit awkward- but it's a wonderful spot to have around for takeout and has gotten me through my most financially tough times with both healthy and more indulgent food options that have all far exceeded my expectations. ”
“ i love you sam’s chicken and rib. i genuinely do not understand why this place isn’t constantly popping. they have every cola kind you could desire(crispy af), great chicago dogs, famtastic fries, good cheesecake and about so much variety that you will find at least one thing you want. the atmosphere is so classic and lovely. prices are affordable and the employees are kind. i love you sam’s chicken and rib. every time me and my friend go anywhere else for a chicago dog we regret it. the only criticism is that i wish the buns had poppy seeds. anyways, support sam’s chicken and rib! ”
“ I love this place. The portions are HUGE and the food is always hot and made to order. It does take 15-20 min to prepare the food, so calling ahead is best. The perch dinner and gyro plate are my favorite items on the menu ”
“ Indian run greasy spoon yes please. Gyros topped burger, heck yeah! Pics of Indian eats i.e samosas and butter chx, indeed. But, the Hand Cut Fries make you want to call your Gandhi-like grandpa. Reminiscent of the beloved classic drive through Susie's h.c.f's, the former Queen of deep fried starch is dead. May she rest in grease. All hail the king, a 5 ft 3 Indian dude named, Sam. ”
“ I love Sam’s chicken and rib. Me and my friend went once and I enjoyed a lovely chicago dog (I wish they had poppy seed buns but from what I recall, the relish was neon green which I love and require). A hot dog and fries (very good amoumt) is like 7 which is very reasonable for what I’ve experienced. The fries are made to order and everytime I go anywhere else to get a hotdog I wish I went to Sam’s chicken and rib instead so that’s my final sentiment ”
“ Very great gyro here and fresh fries. Came here with a group, I heard that the ribs are excellent. I had a wonderful time here! Probably next time I'll try the ribs. The prices are just right affordable! It's a nice small place but there is enough room for a small group. Awesome smells of the food as well. We came here all the way from Waukegan sponsored by a Lake County program. ”
